Assyrtiko

Assyrtiko is considered the most noble white grapevine variety of the Greek vineyard. Its cultivation center is the island of Santorini, where today, more than 70% of the cultivated surface area is found (1200 - 1300 ha). The cultivation of grapevine variety Assyrtiko is recommended for the viticultural regions of Dodecanese, Cyclades, Thessaly, Thrace, Macedonia, Peloponnese, Central Greece and prefectures of Lasithi, Chios, Lesvos and Ikaria.
