Crimson seedless

Crimson seedless is a red seedless grapevine variety and the product of consecutive crossings with initial variety Soultanina, to which Crimson seedless owes its seedlessness. It was given into cultivation in 1989 (Ramming and Tarailo 1995) and it is cultivated in California (3200 ha), South America, Egypt and in an experimental stage in Italy. In Greece, Crimson seedless is sporadically found mainly in regions of Korinthia. Crimson seedless is also known as Selection C 102-26 (original name).
